PUT YOUR DEGREE TO WORK! Create Your Own
Career
Saturday, February 3, 2001
For the
third year, Fine Arts Career Services is sponsoring a
variety of presentations designed to educate visual and
performing artists about their post-college options. For the
2001 Put Your Degree to Work program, we are returning to
the original format- bringing you a one half-day conference
chock full of information. In addition, we are pleased to
announce that the Fine Arts Council is co-sponsoring this
year's event.
KEYNOTE
SPEAKER : Michael Drapkin
This year's
keynote speaker, Michael Drapkin, was selected because he
knows first-hand the marketability of the skills acquired in
the pursuit of an arts degree. A graduate of the Eastman
School, Michael is a writer and consultant, founder of
Drapkin Technology, and chair of the E-commerce Program at
Columbia University. Yes, his background is in the
performing arts, but his wit and wisdom will appeal to
musicians, actors, and painters alike! For a bio of Mr.
Drapkin, visit http://www.drapkintechnology.com/whoweare.html.
SESSIONS :
Various Speakers
After the
keynote speech, attendees will choose from among several
presentations designed to address a range of concerns. Both
undergraduate and graduate students will have an opportunity
